Mark Hurd, Oracle Chief Executive Officer

Oracle CEO Mark Hurd’s passion for tennis has been paramount in advancing Oracle’s support for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Oracle has been a proud partner of the ITA since 2015 and has supported the development of several initiatives, including the Oracle/ITA Masters, the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships and the Oracle Collegiate Tennis Challenge.
During Hurd’s tenure as CEO, Oracle also created the Oracle US Tennis Awards, a $100,000 grant given to former collegiate tennis players now playing on the ATP and WTA tours to help with their developments as professional tennis players. The grant is awarded to one male and one female professional player who in addition to possessing college tennis experience, have demonstrated an aptitude for success on the pro tours and extraordinary sportsmanship during their career. Award winners include Mackie McDonald and Danielle Collins in 2017 and Chris Eubanks and Francesca Di Lorenzo in 2018. The ITA is a key partner in this endeavor and in addition to administering the award, ITA CEO Tim Russell sits on the Oracle US Tennis Advisory Council which helps select award winners.
