Erica Perkins Jasper - ITA COO
Erica Perkins Jasper is currently the COO of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, a position she has held since July 2015.
Previously, Jasper served as a Division I Tennis Coach at a number of institutions including Georgia Southern (2002-04), William & Mary (2004-06), Michigan State (2006-08), and New Mexico (2012-2015). Erica also spent four years working for USTA Player Development (2008-12) where she was the Senior Manager of Junior & Collegiate Competition and oversaw a majority of the USTA’s College Tennis Programming. Known for her ability to turn programs around, her last coaching stop at the University of New Mexico was probably her most significant. Jasper inherited a program that in the previous 3 seasons had only 2 total conference wins, 0 conference tournament wins. In just three years the Lobos won the 2015 Mountain West Conference Tournament Championship for the first time in school history, advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2006, and finished with an ITA National Ranking of #59.
Jasper has also served tennis in a number of volunteer roles over her career with both the ITA and USTA, in the following capacities: ITA Board of Directors (2014-15), ITA DI Operating Committee (2012-15), ITA Mountain Regional Committee (2012-15), ITA Mountain Region Chair (2013-15), USTA National Collegiate Varsity Committee (2013-14, 2017-present), USTA National Pro Circuits Committee (2015-16).
The former Erica Perkins played college tennis at Washington State University, where she earned a BA in History and an ED. M in Athletic Administration. She is the only player in Washington State Tennis history to participate in four NCAA Team Championships and was the first player from WSU to be selected to the NCAA Singles Championships. Jasper was inducted into the WSU Athletics Hall of Fame in September of 2015. She is married to Colin Jasper and they have two sons, Miles and Caleb. In addition to still playing tennis to stay in shape, she considers herself an amateur yogini, and has recently become an Orangetheory Fitness convert.
