Camp Walden Tennis Professional/Coach

Camp Walden, a traditional summer overnight camp for girls in Denmark, ME, is searching for a Tennis Coach to supervise our tennis instructors and teach tennis.

Founded in 1916 our small, closely knit Walden family of 150 girls, ages 8-15, enables each camper the opportunity to fully develop her own personality and skills.  Walden prides itself on creating an atmosphere which encourages self-confidence, promotes leadership skills, and provides a trusting and secure environment where girls can thrive.

One of the many daily activities that campers participate in at Walden is tennis.  We also offer campers wishing to improve their skills an intensive tennis experience when they play tennis for 3 hours a day for one week, as well as inter-camp tennis matches through-out the summer.  We are searching for an individual who loves teaching and playing tennis, enjoys working with children, and has supervisory experience (you will supervise a staff of 6.) Prior summer camp experience is also helpful.

Dates: Negotiable.  We would love to have someone join us for the entire summer which is June 17 to August 15, 2015.  Salary is competitive and includes room, board, laundry and a transportation allowance.  Send an email of interest and resume to Kathy Jonas, Director Camp Walden at  The position will remain open until filled.
