How old were you when you first started playing tennis?

I was about 4 years old when my dad took me to our local park and I just started whacking around balls.

What is your earliest memory of watching or playing the game?
I remember when I was 5 or 6 I went to UCLA for the LA men’s tennis open. I watched Andre Agassi practice. I was front and center, peeking through the fence and he walks up to me and crouches down and stares right at me. It was the best moment ever.

What's your favorite shot on court?I love my forehand, just whacking it as hard as I can. It’s kind of fun.

When I'm off the court you will find me...
Shopping.

Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or Murray?
Federer, all the way.

Serena, Vika, Maria or Li Na?
Serena.

Favorite song on my iPod right now?
There’s a song called ‘Do My Thing’ by Miley Cyrus that gets me pumped right now.

I really need to stop eating...
There’s this really good German sausage place in downtown LA that my teammates and I go to about every other day. It’s called Wurstküche and it’s amazing. Also we eat all –you can eat Korean BBQ all the time in Koreatown.

The last time I screamed at the TV was...
I don’t really watch a lot of TV too often actually.

If you could play tennis against any other player throughout history, who would it be?
I’d like to have a shot at Serena.

Best nickname I ever had...
They just call me Sabs.

What has been your favorite/funniest moment in college tennis so far?
Last year in the semifinals of the NCAAs we were playing doubles together. It was a really close match and I had this forehand and my partner Kaitlyn is at the net and she’s all over the play. I hit the forehand as hard as I could and I accidentally hit her in the back of the head and it was really funny for me, not so much for her.
