ITA Announces 2013 ITA Division I Men's Preseason Rankings  
Selections for the 2013 ITA All-American Championships also released

SKILLMAN, NJ (Sept. 6) - College tennis resumes this fall as the nation's top players are set to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) first national event of the 2013-14 season, as selections for the ITA Men's All-American Championships have been announced by the ITA. In addition to the All-American field, the 2013 ITA Division I Preseason Rankings have also been announced.
 
For the seventh straight year, the University of Tulsa will be the site of the ITA Men's All-American Championships. The tournament kicks off with prequalifying matches starting on Sept. 28, while the main draw is set to begin on Oct. 3.
 
Highlighting this year's men's singles field is preseason No. 1 Mikelis Libietis of the University of Tennessee. The junior was named the 2013 ITA Player to Watch after finishing No. 3 in the ITA National Singles Rankings. He collected 37 singles wins, including a run the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships and a third-round appearance in last year's All-American Championships. Libietis is also part of the top-ranked doubles team with Hunter Reese.
 
The University of Virginia's Alex Domijan begins the season ranked No. 2, after also racking up 37 singles wins last season. Domijan is the defending champion, having dropped just one set en route to the title in 2012. He spent six weeks atop the ITA National Singles Rankings last season and also advanced to the semifinals of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships. Domijan also won the ITA All-American Championship as a freshman in 2010. A Virginia player has triumphed in the last three singles championships after previously never winning a singles championship at the event.
 
Peter Kobelt of Ohio State University moves into the number three slot in the national poll. Last season, Kobelt was the runner-up at the ITA All-American Championships and started 2013 as the top-ranked player in the ITA National Singles Rankings.
 
Also in this year's field and rounding out the top 10 ITA Preseason Singles Rankings are (in order): Ryan Lipman (Vanderbilt), Romain Bogaerts (Wake Forest), Marcos Giron (UCLA), Nik Scholtz (Mississippi), Ray Sarmiento (USC), Tom Jomby (Kentucky) and Soren Hess-Olesen (Texas).
 
The doubles field features the Tennessee's top-ranked tandem of Libietis and Reese. Last year, the duo reunited in the spring and won 10 straight matches in SEC play and finished with a No. 3 ranking in the ITA National Doubles Rankings.
 
Rounding out the top 5 in the ITA Preseason Doubles Rankings are (in order): Hernus Pieters and Ben Wagland (Georgia), Jackson Withrow and Junior Ore (Texas A&M), Jomby and Kevin Lai (Kentucky), and Dominic Cotrone and Blake Davis (Florida State).
