The Mylan World Team Tennis season wraps up this weekend, and the playoffs are set for tonight.

The playoff schedule is as follows:

Mylan WTT Eastern Conference Championship: #1 seed Washington Kastles #2 seed Boston Lobsters. 
Thursday July 25, 7:10pm EST, Kastles Stadium at the Wharf in Washington, DC.

Mylan WTT Western Conference Championship: #1 seed Springfield Lasers vs #2 seed Texas Wild. 
Thursday July 25, 7:05pm CST, at Mediacom Stadium at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, MO.

Several former college players will feature in the playoffs, including:

Washington Kastles:
Coach Murphy Jensen
(Played two years at USC and one year at University of Georgia.)

  • Martina Hingis
  • Bobby Reynolds (Finished 2003 as the No. 1 NCAA men's singles player and was named Southeastern Conference Player of Year, while playing for Vanderbilt. Was Vanderbilt University's first two-time singles All-American)
  • Leander Paes
  • Anastasia Rodionova

Boston Lobsters:
Coach: Bud Schultz
(Graduate of Bates College where he was a three-time tennis All-American.)

  • Eric Butorac (Played at Division III Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., from 2001-03, capturing NCAA singles and doubles titles in 2003. Earned All-American honors in singles and doubles for three seasons.)
  • Jill Craybas (1996 NCAA singles champion at the University of Florida and 1996 ITA Player of the Year.)
  • Amir Weintraub
  • Katalin Marosi

Springfield Lasers
Coach: John-Laffnie de Jager

The conference champions will battle for the King Trophy at the 2013 Mylan WTT Finals presented by GEICO at 5pm EST on Sunday, July 28. The Finals will be played on the home court of the Eastern Conference Champion.
