Mylan World Team Tennis is in full force this month and a few former college stars are having great results.
Former Vanderbilt standout Bobby Reynolds has been an integral part of the Washington Kastles team, and in Tuesday night’s action he closed out the win for his team with a 5-4 win over Samuel Groth of the Philadelphia Freedoms.
Reynolds, who celebrates his 31st birthday today, will compete again tonight as the Kastles host the Springfield Lasers.
Steve Johnson, a former USC Trojan, is also enjoying a great season with his Orange County Breakers team. Johnson has split his matches with the recently retired Andy Roddick of the Springfield Lasers. And on Tuesday night, Johnson and partner Treat Huey (a doubles standout at the University of Virginia) beat the Bryan Brothers 5-4 to help lead their Breakers team to a win over the Texas Wild.
