(1) Florida, (2) Florida State, (3) TCU, (4) UNC Wilmington
Depth is the strength for No. 14 Florida, as the Gators have four ranked singles players on their roster. Three players recorded at least 10 wins and the No. 13 doubles pairing of freshman Elliott Orkin (No. 53 in singles) and Gordon Watson (No. 111 in singles) went 12-3 with a quarterfinal run at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championships.
No. 44 UNC Wilmington will try and play the part of spoiler, which the Seahawks are familiar with. As the No. 53 team in the country last season, the Seahawks knocked off No. 18 South Carolina in the NCAA Team Championships to earn their first NCAA win in school history.
Florida State (No. 35) and TCU (No. 38) comprise the other semifinal. The Seminoles strength is their top doubles team of Benjamin Lock (No. 61 in singles) and Marco Nunez, who are ranked No. 8 in the country after a semifinal run at the USTA//ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships. The Horned Frogs top doubles team is ranked just two spots behind at No. 11, and TCU has two ranked singles players to just one for the Seminoles in what looks to be an even matchup.
