2009 TEAM HIGHLIGHTS: Began the season 11-0 for the program’s best start in history and longest winning streak…defeated six ranked teams this season…reached as high as No. 16 in the nation, the highest ranking for the Tide since 1997…all seven losses have come to teams ranked in the top 25.

PLAYER/COACH HIGHLIGHTS: One player ranked nationally in singles with sophomore Tiffany Welcher at No. 79…freshman Courtney McLane and Welcher are also ranked No. 59 nationally in doubles…freshman Taylor Lindsey earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors twice this season on her way to collecting 18 victories in dual matches (tied for the most wins in the conference)…Coached by Jenny Mainz, a former top ten doubles player at the University of Houston…joining the staff as Mainz’ assistant is former Kentucky standout Rahim Esmail.
