Men's Doubles Quotes - Day Three

(2) John-Patrick Smith (Tennessee):
“We have a tough match tomorrow (against Auburn) and if we can just start the way we finished today, we should be fine. We really picked it up towards the end. We made some good plays and executed well, so I think if we can keep doing that then we should be fine tomorrow.”
(4) Jamie Hunt (Georgia):
“California (Geoff Chizever and Pedro Zerbini) was a really good team. We didn’t play them in doubles early in the year, but we did see them play singles, so we knew they were very capable. They came out and played well and got up a break early, but we managed to fight back and get that break back. We played very well in the tiebreaker. In the second set, we had a lot of chances, but they played well when they needed to. In the third set, we went up two breaks and we played a good game to get it back. Luckily, Nate (Schnugg) has a big serve and we held to win it.”
(5-8) Austin Krajicek (Texas A&M):
“We had a tough match yesterday, but sometimes that happens where you have a tough first round. A lot of times you get a rhythm with that and start playing really well and have a good tournament. Hopefully, that’s the case for us. We tried to come out a lot more intense today, focused on our serve and tried not to make any mental errors. We are at our best when we are playing well on our serve games. We did a good job today of not only getting the break, but also holding it. We did a better job of that, than we did yesterday.”
