2009 TEAM HIGHLIGHTS: Won Western Athletic Conference Tournament for the second straight year…team has won five of its last six matches…currently ranked No. 49 by the ITA, the program’s highest ranking ever…made inaugural appearance in the prestigious Blue Gray Tournament in Montgomery, Ala., this past March.

PLAYER/COACH HIGHLIGHTS: Top-seed Dennis Lajola is currently ranked No. 65 in latest ITA rankings…has defeated the top seed players from three Pac-10 schools, including then-No. 4 Robert Farah of USC…freshman Leo Rosenberg has also been ranked this spring…senior Sascha Heinemann has won a team-best 12 straight matches, mostly while at the No. 4 position…Lajola, Heinemann and junior Andreas Weber each earned all-conference honors this year…head coach John Nelson has won a Division II national title with UC Davis, has guided both singles and doubles individual national champs and has tutored eight Division I and 22 Division II All-Americans.
