2009 TEAM HIGHLIGHTS: “Experts” predicted down year and Bulldogs to finish 3rd in the SEC Eastern Division. Instead, Georgia reached the ITA National Team Indoor Final, won the SEC Eastern Division and extended their home winning streak to 60 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Georgia’s two losses came to Virginia in the ITA National Team Indoor final and to SEC Champion Ole Miss 4-3 in Oxford, Miss.

PLAYER/COACH HIGHLIGHTS: Three players ranked in the top 80 in singles and one doubles team in the top four in Nate Schnugg and Jamie Hunt…Team has only one senior, team captain Josh Varela…This team is used to winning after playing for the last three NCAA Championships, reaching the final in 2006 (only loss that year) and winning it in 2007 and 2008. On paper not as talented as those teams but plenty of heart and fight to go 21-2 this season…Coached by Manuel Diaz, former Georgia All-American who is only active head coach with multiple NCAA titles (4).
