2009 TEAM HIGHLIGHTS: Furman will make back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history after winning a second straight Southern Conference Tournament title. The Paladins posted its second consecutive undefeated regular-seasons in the SoCon, having won 22 straight regular-season league matches. The squad enters NCAAs on a 15-match winning streak.

PLAYER/COACH HIGHLIGHTS: Head Coach Paul Scarpa became the NCAA all-time winningest Division I men’s tennis coach, winning his 820th match to surpass the previous record of 819 set by former Univ. of Hawaii head coach Jim Schwitters. Furman’s 6-1 win at Yale clinched the record for the 46-yr head coach. Scarpa also won his ninth SoCon Coach of the Year award this season.
