All nominations and appropriate materials MUST be submitted via email to the ITA office by Monday, April 1, 2014 (no exceptions).

Please note: By submitting this individual’s name, if selected as the National Winner, the student-athlete commits to accepting and serving the 3 month summer internship with Wilson Sporting Goods Company.

Wilson/ITA Promoters of the Year (for current varsity players)

Eligibility/Criteria:

1. University or College must be an ITA member.
2. Is an upperclassman and on the varsity tennis team.
3. Has been with current team for at least two semesters.
4. Has expressed an interest in gaining experience in the areas of communications, marketing, promotions or athletics administration.
5. Has displayed excellent organizational and leadership skills including but not limited to promoting the varsity tennis team on campus and in the community (i.e. helping to market home matches as part of the ITA attendance race).

Procedure for Award Application:

1. Visit the ITA website (www.ITATennis.com) and submit the online nomination form.

2. Email the following required application materials to the ITA Office to Ms. Angel Prinos, ITA Associate Director (aprinos@itatennis.com, 609-497-6924) by Monday, April 1, 2014.

a. Letter of Recommendation from the Head Coach detailing the nominee’s exceptional contributions to promoting the sport of tennis, the varsity tennis program, and his/her overall leadership, character and sportsmanship (250 words or less).

b. Applicant must submit a personalized cover letter outlining his/her interest in the position and highlighting key qualifications, resume, list of two (2) references (other than the Head or Asst. Coach) and an originally typed writing sample which answers one of the following questions (200 words or less).

i. Explain in detail the activities that you have been involved with to promote the sport of tennis and specifically your varsity tennis program.

ii. If selected as the National Award winner, what do you hope to achieve while working as an intern with the Wilson Sporting Goods Company?
