MURFREESBORO, TN –
The semifinals at the 2017 ITA Division III National Women’s Team Indoor Championship are set, and it’ll be a showdown of the top four seeds, as all four teams faced little trouble moving past their respective first round opponents on Friday at the Adams Tennis Center.

Saturday’s semifinal action gets underway at 12:30 p.m. CST, with defending #ITAIndoors champion and No. 2 seed Pomona-Pitzer taking on No. 3 Chicago. The Sagehens dispatched of No. 7 Johns Hopkins 9-0 in the first round, while the Maroons took down event host and No. 6 seed Sewanee by a 7-2 margin.

The other semifinal pits No. 1 Emory versus No. 4 Washington University in St. Louis, and is slated to commence at 3:15 p.m. The Bears won on all three doubles courts, in addition to No. 5 and No. 1 singles to race out to a 5-0 lead against No. 5 Carnegie Mellon. The Tartans would sweep the remaining four courts to bring the final score to 5-4. Meanwhile in the nightcap, the defending NCAA Division III national champion Eagles soared to a 7-0 lead against No. 8 Mary Washington, and would go on to win by a count of 9-0.
