RANKINGS

SKILLMAN, NJ
– On the heels of a successful 2016 ITA Kick-Off Weekend, the top-ranked men’s teams stayed mostly in tact as Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the updated Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings for Division I men on Wednesday.

Virginia, Oklahoma and TCU continue to hold down the top three spots, respectively, while Texas A&M and Baylor flip-flopped the No.’s 4 and 5 positions. Ohio State moved into a tie with USC at No. 8 to highlight the other change in Top 10-ranked teams.

Cavaliers Continue Charge

Virginia received an automatic bid into the 2016 ITA Division I National Men’s Team Indoor Championship (Feb. 12-15 at Boar’s Head Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia) for hosting the event, and did not have to play in the 2016 ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Cavaliers play their first dual match of the season on Jan. 31 against a red-hot Kentucky team. In two weeks, the Wildcats have gone from unranked to No. 51 in the country. Virginia will also play Eastern Kentucky on Jan. 31.
