MEN’S RANKINGS
/WOMEN’S RANKINGS

SKILLMAN, NJ – The first Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Rankings of 2016 for Division II men and women were announced on Wednesday by Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Top 10 on the men’s side saw positions one-through-nine stay the same from the November 2015 rankings, while Georgia College elbowed its way into the No. 10 position after previously holding the No. 12 spot. For the women, the Top 10 stayed exactly the same.

Defending NCAA Division II national team champions Barry and Armstrong State continue to hold down the top-ranked spots in the men’s and women’s rankings, respectively. Barry has won two of the past three NCAA titles, while Armstrong State has claimed six NCAA championships in the last eight years.

Rounding out the Top 10 on the men’s side is: Hawaii Pacific (No. 2), Armstrong State (No. 3), West Florida (No. 4), Lander University (No. 5), Lynn University (No. 6), Saint Leo University (No. 7), Concordia (No. 8), Valdosta State (No. 9) and Georgia College (No. 10).

The remainder of the women’s Top 10 is comprised of: BYU-Hawaii (No. 2), Saint Leo University (No. 3), Barry (No. 4), Lynn University (No. 5), West Florida (No. 6), Nova Southeastern (No. 7), Columbus State (No. 8), Hawaii Pacific (No. 9) and Southwest Baptist (No. 10).

#OracleITARankings Big Movers Of The Week
On the men’s side, Embry-Riddle made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from unranked in November to No. 24 in this week’s rankings. The Eagles, who are off to a 3-1 start (unbeaten against DII opponents), play host to No. 1 Barry on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. ET.

The women’s big mover of the week is Flagler College, which climbed 15 places in the rankings up to No. 16. The Saints have scored wins over No. 27 Rollins (7-2), No. 36 Augusta (9-0) and then-No. 13 (now No. 21) Georgia College (7-2) this season. They next play on Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. ET, against Florida Southern.
