SKILLMAN, NJ (March 25) - The Hawaii Pacific men avenged their lone loss from last season, knocking off top-ranked defending national champion West Florida to earn the No. 1 ranking and join the Armstrong State women atop the ITA Division II National Team Rankings.

The end of last season proved to be heartbreaking for the Sharks, as their unblemished season was taken away in the NCAA Division II National Championship by the Argonauts. Hawaii Pacific got its revenge on March 13, climbing out of a 3-0 deficit by winning on five of six singles courts to deliver West Florida its first loss since May 10, 2013.

Three men's schools previously in the rankings made leaps of 10 or more spots. Ouachita Baptist jumped 10 slots to No. 18 with notable 5-4 wins over No. 16 Northwest Missouri and No. 19 Cameron. Southeastern Oklahoma State (No. 29) and Western New Mexico (No. 33) rose 12 and 15 spots, respectively.

On the women's side, Armstrong State held steady at No. 1 by continuing its string of strong results. The Pirates are 16-0 with 13 shutout victories in 2015. The Nova Southeastern Sharks surged ahead six spots to No. 4, and like the Pirates, are also undefeated at 14-0. The Sharks edged both No. 3 St. Leo and No. 5 Lynn, 5-4, to remain unbeaten. Flagler is also on the rise, making a 12-spot leap to No. 16. The Saints are winners of four straight, including a victory over No. 9 Rollins.

BYU-Hawaii's Dallas Zhang and Azusa Pacific's Jan Meyer claimed the No. 1 rankings in the ITA Division II National Singles Rankings, with Meyer rising six spots to take the spot. Zhang also rose to No. 1 in the women's doubles rankings with teammate Karen Liu, while the West Florida duo of Warren Kuhn and Elio Latella claimed the top spot in the men's doubles rankings.

Double-Dip: A total of 15 schools have both their men's and women's programs ranked inside the Top 25. Armstrong State, Barry, Columbus State, Hawaii Pacific, Lynn, St. Leo and West Florida find both their men's and women's team inside the Top 10.
