Nation's top NAIA players and doubles teams announced
 

  

SKILLMAN, NJ (April 16) --  Embry-Riddle remains at the top of men's singles and both men's and women's doubles in the latest ITA NAIA College Tennis Rankings, while Auburn Montgomery leads the women's singles rankings.

 

The NAIA singles and doubles rankings consist of the nation's Top 50 singles players and Top 25 doubles teams. Along with the national rankings, the NAIA regional rankings have also been announced, listing the Top 20 singles players and Top 10 doubles teams in the region.

 

Top Flight Singles: Embry-Riddle's Deni Zmak continued as the top men's player in the NAIA Men's Singles Rankings. Zmak has won 17 straight matches, improving his overall record this year to 28-3. The 2013 Super Bowl winner's only three losses were to Division I and II opponents.

 

On the women's side, Jade Curtis of Auburn Montgomery moved up a spot in the rankings to sit atop the ITA NAIA Women's Singles Rankings. The senior has amassed a 16-3 record during the spring season, with all three losses coming to Division II opponents. She's 28-4 overall this year, with her only NAIA loss to Theresa Schmaus of SCAD-Savannah in the final of the 2013 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships.

 

Top Flight Doubles: The Embry-Riddle Eagles kept both top spots in men's and women's doubles NAIA rankings. Zmak and partner Simon Felix kept their No. 1 ranking in the NAIA Men's Doubles Rankings; the pair has a 25-4 record this year, with no losses to NAIA opponents. The duo, who won the 2013 Super Bowl doubles title, is on a 10-match winning streak.

 

Embry-Riddle's doubles tandem of Kristina Marova and Hui-I Huang remained No. 1 in the NAIA Women's Doubles Rankings with a 13-5 spring record, with all five losses coming to Division II or III teams.
