**2010 Player Application**

**2010 Coach Application**

The USTA Summer Collegiate Teams, created by and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in 1996, provide elite training and playing opportunities for the top American Varsity Collegiate tennis players. The program is designed to provide players with valuable exposure to the professional circuit in a team-oriented environment.

The teams will be comprised of twelve men, twelve women, and four coaches. Team members will play in and receive coaching and training at USTA Pro Circuit events throughout the summer. Players selected to the team will be required to commit to a full summer schedule of training and to play a minimum of four USTA Pro Circuit Events.

Of the twelve roster spots, six will be automatic based on the Final ITA Singles Rankings. Up to two spots will be held for the highest ranked American doubles team and one spot held for the highest finishing American at the NCAA tournament. All qualified players must complete the player application to be considered.

The remaining roster spots will be awarded by the Selection Committee, which will be comprised of USTA Player Development Staff, USTA National Coaches, ITA Staff, and current Collegiate Coaches. The committee will utilize the following criteria in making their selections:

  • NCAA Singles Tournament Finish
  • ITA Final National Ranking
  • ITA All-American Finish
  • ITA National Indoor Finish
  • Dual Match Results & NCAA Team Tournament Performance
  • Doubles Ability and Results
  • Sportsmanship and Attitude

  • Men: June 21-24 in Boca Raton, FL (Clay)
  • Women: June 28-July 1 in Boca Raton, FL (Hard)

USTA Summer Collegiate Team Coaches will be selected from a pool of current head and assistant collegiate coaches. Selected coaches must commit to the following:

  • Assisting the National Coaching Staff in running the Pro Tour Transition Camps
  • Six weeks of tournament-site coaching and training of team members
  • Overseeing team members' tournament scheduling
  • Monitoring team members progress
