The USTA Coaching Education Department will be conducting a High Performance Coaching Continuing Education Program December 7-9, 2009 in Key Biscayne Florida.  The program will be done in conjunction with the Dunlop Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships, an event where many of you will be recruiting.

Dunlop Orange Bowl

Location: Key Biscayne, FL
Dates: December 7-9, 2009
Times: 8:00am - 5:00 pm

**Application Form**

Normally these continuing education programs are set aside for USTA HP Program Graduates exclusively, but like the program that was put together at the Girls 18s Nationals in Berkeley, several spots will be open for college coaches.  The schedule has been set up to allow you to watch matches during the day, so you will not miss out on any recruiting opportunities.  In fact coaches who have gone through previous programs at the Orange Bowl have said that the information presented in the program combined with watching and analyzing matches actually helped their recruiting at that event
The program will be based around the concepts and stages of the Progressive Development of a High Performance Player. The tournament will serve as the backdrop for coaches to discuss and analyze the issues surrounding the development of junior competitors in Stage IV – the Refinement and Transition Stage.  Both boys’ and girls’ matches will be observed by the coaches. The presenters will be USTA Player Development staff and where possible, coaches and visitors from other nations. The program will be interactive.
The program will be held at the Hyatt Regency Miami and Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne, Florida December 7-9, in conjunction with the Dunlop Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships.  The program will begin @ 8 a.m. on Monday, December 7th and conclude on Wednesday, December 9th at 4 p.m.  I have attached a program application.  Space is limited and will fill up quickly, so if interested please fill out the application and send to Jessica Battaglia (
Battaglia@usta.com/ fax: 561-962-6401) as soon as possible if you are interested in this special opportunity.
