BATON ROUGE -- Five members of the LSU men’s tennis team used their day off from practice to visit Lanier Elementary on Monday and spend time reading to and interacting with children at the local elementary school.

Sebastian Calsson, James Cluskey, Neal Skupski, Michael Venus and Stevie Bacala visited with the kindergarten class at Lanier and read books to the class as well as handed out posters to the children.

In addition to reading to the kindergarten classes, the five also stopped by a pep rally to encourage older students preparing to begin LEAP tests on Wednesday.

“It was a real pleasure to go spend the afternoon with the kids” LSU freshman Skupski said. “They kept smiling the whole time we were there, and I like giving back to the community whenever I can.”
