Binghamton women's tennis hosts "Rock N Blues" Day

VESTAL, N.Y..-- The Binghamton University women's tennis program introduced the concept of "Rock N Blues Tennis" on Wednesday afternoon during its match against Colgate. The Bearcats are the latest of several teams in the region to launch such an event.
Throughout the afternoon, music was played and prizes were given away to the larger-than-usual crowd at the West Gym Courts. Mo Taylor, the director of the Binghamton University Pep Band and the Assistant A.M. Programming Director for Citadel Communications, was the P.A. announcer and disc jockey throughout the afternoon.
"Our Rock N Blues dual match with Colgate was a lot of fun for the players, coaches and our fans," head coach Mike Stevens said. "We had a larger than usual crowd that really enjoyed the event. On the court, Binghamton continued its impressive spring, defeating the Red Raiders 6-0. The Bearcats improved to 15-3 with their fourth consecutive victory.
