SKILLMAN, N.J. - The fourth annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I Kick-Off Weekend Draft was held over the past two days as teams selected which route they would take to get to the 2012 ITA National Men's and Women's Team Indoor Championships.
The ITA Kick-Off Weekend, held January 27-30, features 15 men's and 15 women's host sites with four teams at each site vying to advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The 15 men's schools that win both of their matches at these events will be invited to play in the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championship, hosted by the Univeristy of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, February 10-13, while the 15 women's institutions to win both of their matches qualify for the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship, also hosted by Virginia, February 17-20, 2012.
The No. 1 team in each site will face the No. 4 team. The No. 2 team will face the No. 3 team. Two matches are guaranteed - the winners/losers will play the following day.
